Advanced Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries

Intended Audience: Advanced Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries, is an advanced-level program that provides additional training for those individuals who have successfully completed the DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries course within the past year (12 months).

Class Length: 4 hours

Minimum Age: None

Course Cost: $80

Prerequisites:
  • current CPR Certification
  • Oxygen Provider training within the previous 12 months

Course Fees Include:
  • Advanced Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries Student Handbook
  • Instruction & practice time using DAN Oxygen Kit, MTV-100 & Bag Valve Mask
  • DAN Certification Card
  • Lifetime support - Call or email if you ever have any oxygen-related questions

Not Include:
  • CPR Certification
  • DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries Certification
  • DAN Membership (optional)
  • Waterproof DAN Certification Card (optional)
  • Transportation, hotel and meals

Equipment Requirements: None required - I provide the DAN Oxygen Kit and masks.


Course Overview:
This course is designed to train DAN Oxygen Providers to use the MTV-100 or a Bag Valve Mask (BVM) while providing care for a non-breathing injured diver and activating the local emergency medical services (EMS) and / or arranging for evacuation to the nearest available medical facility.
